How Pontoon Beach got its Name
Pontoon Beach has an interesting history, including how it got its name. Furthermore, “there are two slightly different stories concerning the origin of the name Pontoon Beach. One says that the name was used because a bridge supported by pontoons was built across Long Lake.
The other claims that the name began because steep banks lined most of Long Lake and residents made docks that were floated on pontoons, thus forming a kind of beach.”
Furthermore, Pontoon Beach, Illinois is situated near the Mississippi River and is part of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area, making it close to the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Additionally, being at the intersections of so many interstate highways makes it easy for attendees to get to the location.

I digress a little to recommend the scent of peppermint, if you’re not allergic. It naturally repels all kinds of insects, including mosquitoes, and I enjoy the smell of it too. People with empathic abilities can thrive in various careers where their skills can be utilized to make a positive impact on others. Below are some career paths that often align well with empathic individuals. Highly sensitive people make great caregivers.
Empaths Embrace the Mind, Heart, and Soul
Counseling/Psychotherapy: Empaths can excel as therapists, counselors, or psychologists, as their ability to understand and connect with others on an emotional level can help them create a safe and supportive environment for their clients. A highly sensitive individual can tune into the emotions and energy in any room, almost like they have a psychic ability. HSP’s are exceptional at caregiving!
Coaching/Mentoring: Empaths can make excellent coaches or mentors, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to others. Furthermore, they can help individuals achieve their goals, navigate challenges, and grow personally and professionally.
Like a caregiver for humanity, empaths handle elders with care and enable them to stay home via assisted living. Moreover, nursing homes need very sensitive people to care about elders, as much as those who wouldn’t be able to stay in their home without a caring caretaker.
Rewarding Work for People with Empathic Healing Abilities
Social Work: Empaths often have a strong desire to help others and advocate for social justice. Moreover, social work allows them to support individuals and communities in need, address social issues, and contribute to positive change.
Teaching: Empathic individuals can make great teachers. Additionally, understanding the needs of students, creating a nurturing learning environment, and connecting with students on an emotional level can positively impact their educational journey.
Humanities and Philanthropy
Human Resources: Empaths can excel in HR roles, especially in areas such as employee support, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment. Furthermore, their understanding of others’ emotions can contribute to effective communication and employee well-being.
Nonprofit Work: Many nonprofit organizations focus on helping marginalized or disadvantaged individuals and communities. Moreover, empaths can find fulfillment in roles that involve community outreach, advocacy, fundraising, or working directly with those in need.
Coping with Critical Physical and End of Life Care
Nursing: Empathy is a valuable trait in the field of nursing. Moreover, being able to empathize with patients can help provide comfort, emotional support, and enhance the overall care experience. In other words, caregiving is a very delicate field of work.
Healthcare: Besides nursing, empathic individuals can pursue careers in various healthcare fields, such as occupational therapy, hospice care, or palliative care. Additionally, having a compassionate nature greatly benefits patients and their families. It’s important to have a strong stomach and methods for re-energizing oneself in such sensitive fields of work.
Custom Tees for Caregivers
Remember that empathy is a valuable skill in many professions, so it’s important to explore different options based on personal interests and talents. Home Care services is a job without end. Furthermore, it’s no mystery why elders return to being as dependent as infants, and they must be handled just as gently.

How I Became My Brother's Keeper: A Eulogy & Memorial for Nicholas Andrew (Nick) Kampmann
Am I my brother’s keeper? The answer is yes, and I’ll tell you how. Have you ever felt compelled to write a eulogy for a loved one? “If you feel compelled to do something, you feel that you must do it, because it is the right thing to do.”
I’m a sibling of and became a paid primary caregiver for Nicholas Andrew Kampmann, through the DORS Personal Assistance Program. This is an example article of a eulogy and a memorial. It’s based on the true story of how I became my brother’s keeper.
Bookmark this article if you wish, and perhaps to refer to should you want to write a eulogy for a loved one yourself someday. As my little brother’s big sister, I knew him well. For instance, Nick loved to talk and was quite a storyteller.
Personality & Quirks
Anyone who knew Nick knows he always had something to say and would tell tall tales to keep a conversation going. He was fun to be around, and cared to be an all around funny guy. Indeed, there were many times when he’d said to me, “I’m trying to make you laugh.” He never failed to do that!
I became my brother’s keeper when he most needed a caregiver. It was a few short years after we’d lost our mom. Dad had already passed when we were barely adults. Moreover, I had more good memories of him than bad, so I didn’t mind embracing the role of my brother’s keeper. Furthermore, I learned a lot as his personal assistant and caregiver.
In Memory of Nick Kampmann
Throughout his life, Nicholas was a tree trimmer, a mechanic, and an asphalt repairman. His last job was at Rail Logistics in St. Louis, Missouri. His favorite activities were fishing, BBQ, telling campfire stories, watching movies, and paintball guns. Nick was a talented cook when it came to grilling. The grill was his happy place.
Occupations and Activities
Nick loved to socialize and be around people, to whom he’d tell jokes and never ending stories. My son once told me that he noticed how his Uncle Nick would do all he could to make people laugh, even though he was always dealing with his own painful ailments. I too witnessed it and most certainly agreed with him.
Stay Calm and Keep On Keeping On
Nick was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of vasculitis and endured kidney failure in the year of 2014. After that, his lifestyle changed drastically. That’s when I found myself stepping up to the plate, so to speak, as my brother’s keeper.
Furthermore, he kept on keeping on through the years, whilst remaining calm, and being good company to others. It wasn’t always easy for him, but it was worth it to him.
Funny Guy and a Kid at Heart
When not working or socializing with others, Nick loved to eat pizza, watch the travel channel, and play games on his phone and computer. His favorite games to play were Doom, Command and Conquer, and Idle Miner Tycoon Simulator.
Relations and Relationships
Nicholas was preceded in death by our parents, grandparents, numerous other relatives, and many of his peers. Furthermore, Nick did not marry, and had no children. However, he did want to become a dad and loved kids. My own children were fond of him. He’s survived by many aunts and uncles, several cousins, his two siblings, a niece and nephew, and his friends.
Celebration of Life
Nick’s friends and loved ones are planning for a gathering at a nearby lake, fishing and barbecuing together, in celebration of his life. The event is to take place sometime in the Spring of 2023. Stay tuned for instructions should you like to attend.
Memorials can be made immediately to the family via Thomas Saksa Funeral Home in Granite City, Illinois. I’m extremely thankful for their careful handling of my brother’s remains. Thomas Saksa Funeral Home has delicately assisted with many of my relatives throughout the years.
A Genuinely Tough Guy with a Gentle Soul: Regarding Nick's Wishes
Nick lost the battle against a triple infection during the hard-fought war against an aggressive form of vasculitis on January 15th, 2023 at 11:41 am. He had just turned 40 years old the day before. Nick’s wishes were to first have his remains cremated. Then, he wanted his ashes to be shared with family and friends.
Creating a Crowdfunding Page for Financial Assistance
Furthermore, Nicholas didn’t have a life insurance policy, and the state can only assist with so much. Many people are enduring hard times right now. Therefore, I’ve created a gofundme page asking for financial assistance in hopes of being enabled to cover the exact costs of his cremation, as needed upfront, via crowdfunding. Anything helps.
Mentioning My Brother's Keepers
Furthermore, this link is the original documentation via photos from the beginning of Nick’s battle against Vasculitis. He received an accurate diagnosis in 2014, with the help of Doctor Seth Goldberg (pictured below with Nick.) Moreover, the staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital helped save his life many times!
As a volunteer participant of The Pexivas Research Study, directed by Dr. Li Tingting, Nick became a regular visitor, and made fast friends with everyone at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Center for Advanced Medicine, and The Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
After spending many years walking the halls of these places with him, I can’t express my gratitude enough, for the positive impact made by all the staff, including his nurses and doctors.

Furthermore, I appreciate all the people we crossed paths with along the way who also taught us something, including the staff and friends Nick made at Davita Dialysis. The aid provided helped him continue to fight to live his life to the best of his abilities, for as long as possible. Thanks to all who helped us help Nick!
Our Brother in Christ
Truth be told, Nick might not have lived to turn forty without the help of all the peoples at these places. Thank you neighbors! As his siblings, we originally agreed to donate his remains to medical science upon his expiration.
We thought it would be honorable of him to assist future generations of humans with finding solutions for ailments such as he endured. Unfortunately, due to multiple infections we weren’t able to make those arrangements.
This is why a gofundme.com page was created, to assist with ensuring the granting of his final wishes. Thanks for all your contributions!
Furthermore, Nicholas Andrew Kampmann became a believer also, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Personal Savior. He didn’t mind me discussing lessons learned from Jesus with him either.

Even as he dealt with pain and long-suffering, and didn’t want to die, our father in heaven ensured his transition was peaceful, painless, and swift in the event of his death. I held his hand for the final time, whilst we were surrounded by of our friends and relatives, in person and online. Thank you for being here for us!
I feel so much gratitude towards all of you who became my brother’s keeper along with me, and for sharing in the life and times of Nicholas Andrew Kampmann. Thanks again all my brother’s keepers, for listening, and for all your contributions!
Beautiful Bright Red Hair, Blue Eyes, and a Golden Heart
Amber Ellis Keasling had just asked me to be her maid of honor on Thanksgiving Day. Though they hadn’t yet set a wedding date, I was ecstatic about their engagement. Beautiful bright red hair, blue eyes, and a golden heart, is how I can best think to describe this girl who became the love of my older brother’s life, and a lifelong friend of mine. Little did we know that it would be the last major holiday she would be gracing us with her presence.
How We Met
We first met Amber through our aunt as teenagers, in the small town of Sorento, Illinois. Amber was from Worden, Illinois. Moreover, we were all close in age. At that time, Aunt Barb had lived in a small house on a dead end street with the love of her life, her three pet goats, and a garden that took up more than half her yard.
Aunt Barb had insisted we would be good company for each other at the time, as we had all stayed and helped her with her garden. She was right, because we became fast friends and happily joked with each other while plucking corn and picking green beans.
Always Outdoors
Amber was a brave soul, and got me to do things I would have never done on my own. For instance, I ran with her through a cow pasture, at risk of being gored by a bull. Fortunately nothing bad happened. However, the rush of adrenaline and my heart racing a mile a minute during and after running beside her through that field is still unforgettable.
Stand By Me Trestle Bridge
Amber loved to be outdoors, and I would walk with her on railroad tracks for long distances. I even crossed a trestle bridge, regardless of my fear of heights. It was much like the one in the scene from the movie Stand By Me, though not as long. She was the kind of friend that helped others face and overcome their fears. I recall a train coming only one time while we played in the creek underneath the trestle.
Dealing with Sudden & Unexpected Loss
We suddenly and unexpectedly lost Amber from a brain bleed on December 11th 2022 at 11:05pm. Amber had her own issues to deal with, as we all do. However, the good outweighed the bad when it came to this special person, and my siblings and I all knew it. Furthermore, people grieve in their own ways and Amber was our extended family.
Sharing Fondest Memories
I made a big dinner for Thanksgiving of 2022, as our youngest brother was given a poor prognosis regarding his health last Christmas. In other words, I wanted to make the holidays special for him this year. As it turns out, it was she who made Thanksgiving of 2022 so special for all of us. She was special to many!
Finally, Amber worked in the medical field and was an organ donor. Therefore, we have comfort in knowing that even though she left us so suddenly and unexpectedly, she saved another life with her own by donating her kidneys.
We Will Miss You Amber!

I Guess Heaven Was Needing A Hero by Jo Dee Messina
Yellow & Blue Ukrainian Inspired 2022 Freedom Collection: What is Freedom?
What is freedom? “Freedom is the power of right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” Moreover, freedom is “a state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.”
In other words, maintaining freedom requires listening to and following our own conscience as individuals. Moreover, it means to develop and apply moral sense. Yellow & Blue are the Ukrainian national flag colors. These colors represent the blue skies and golden wheat fields of Ukraine.
Furthermore, with freedom comes personal accountability. It doesn’t mean freedom from individual responsibility, nor the right to abuse our liberties. Moreover, if you carefully listen to Jesus, he didn’t imply not to judge at all, but to learn to judge sound judgment as individuals.
What is Capitalism?
Capitalism is defined as “an economic and political system in which a country’s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.” In other words, capitalism in the USA is what enabled me to gain an education based upon my personal interests, to which I then apply the skills to earn an honest income, whilst I keep myself occupied for a living.
The Concept of Money From My Point of View
Capitalism enables me to enjoy the fruit of my own labor, whilst assisting others. Furthermore, money is made of minerals and plants the same as medicine has been. Wisdom and understanding is better than money, because solutions are what solve problems. For instance, I created a simple blog utilizing what I had at hand to generate multiple streams of income earned from traffic online, to enable myself financial security.
For example, money also tells history. Coinage is as much historical artwork, as it is a form of currency. Additionally, that’s why various prosperous nations preserve and continue to utilize it. Have you ever seen the face of Jesus Christ on money before?
The Face of Jesus Christ on Coins
Did you know the face of Jesus is visible on ancient Ukrainian coinage? It’s true, Jesus is on money too. For instance, “The obverse of zlatnyks features the prince on a throne, the tryzub trident and the legend “ВЛАДИМИР НА СТОЛЕ” (Volodymyr on a throne). The reverse depicts the face of Jesus and the legend “А СЕ ЕГО ЗЛАТО” (and this is his gold).” The image below is courtesy the National Bank of Kyiv History.
Accountability: Honesty & Courage Makes Freedom Ring True
Furthermore, in the USA, individuals are accountable for our own decisions. That’s how all preserve one and one preserves all. Moreover, the USA is a free country, and I intend to help keep it that way long after my own flesh returns to the elements.
For example, I trained my own children to be autonomous and that their voices matter too. This is why We The People vote in the USA! Our vote is our voice. In other words, I encouraged my youth to learn how to handle their own affairs.
Should all suffer punishment over the few? I think not! If a sin is wrong and a mistake is a wrong, then a sin is a mistake, and we all make them. Admitting faults and learning from mistakes is what prevents us from repeating them.
In Defense of Nations
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and 44 million other Ukrainians raised their voices together in unison TO SAY NO to an autocratic barbaric dictating bully, practicing autocracy instead of autonomy! I think the free and autonomous majority of peoples around the globe agree with them defending the existence of their historical nation. Moreover, all are in favor of the preservation of all our own too.
Moreover, Ukrainians have fought and fight to defend more than just their freedom to exist upon the globe, and to preserve more than just their own territorial integrity and ancestral history!
For instance, these fellow humans think and feel the same as the rest of us, who love our own peoples of our own countries just as much, regardless our differing tribal and national identities. In other words, we all regard our own ancestral heritage. Ukraine has been around for centuries. Cheers to another millennium!

Reparations From Russia
Furthermore, it’s come to my attention that some people, such as Putin, lack a global map! Indeed it is was him and his regime who influenced conflict, and were the invaders of Ukraine in 2014, and again in 2022! Furthermore, reparations are now necessary from Russia for enabling him, no different than when the Soviet Union and Germany blindly enabled Hitler.
Yellow & Blue Ukrainian Inspired 2022 Freedom Collection
Additionally, the Yellow & Blue Ukrainian Inspired 2022 Freedom Collection are products designed with the intention of serving as a visual reminder of the positive impact that Ukrainians have made on others around the world, in this century! I’m a United States Citizen who loves my country, and my neighbors as myself. Furthermore, all proceeds from any of these designs are reserved for organizations that assist Ukrainians.
Free From the Grasp of Autocratic Dictators
Furthermore, people from around the globe share their personal experiences on the internet in this day in age, including Ukrainians. They have courageously fought and continue to fight for the freedom of Ukraine, every Ukrainian, and billions more peoples upon the globe, to live freely from the grasp of autocratic dictators behaving like Hitler, Stalin, and Putin. Slava Ukraini! God Bless Our Globe!
"Help Others to Lead Better Lives." - Volodymyr Zelenskyy
The determination of Ukrainians to be free, to defend their heritage, and honor their history has positively influenced peoples around the world. This is why the international community supports Ukrainian Freedom, now and in the future.

Goodwill Towards Mankind
“When we do business consciously,” it helps prosper more than just our own lives. Potentially billions of lives are saved by our time and efforts applied wisely. When we work for the benefit of others as much as for ourselves whilst we exist upon the earth, it’s goodwill towards humankind.
I personally do care more about feeling safe and being free, than I ever did about being broke. Furthermore, money isn’t all that makes a person wealthy. It’s the love of money by individuals that is the root of evil. Not money itself. Money can’t buy manners, or loyalty.
These designs are meant to serve as a reminder to anyone from anywhere upon the globe, that everyone needs somebody to care sometimes. It’s those who humble themselves to ask for help when in need and seek it out, that do receive.
When Nations Support One Another
Furthermore, nations supporting one another rather than violently rivaling, enables the global economy overall to improve. We all still share the land upon the same globe, regardless our own perceived appearances, entitlements, and labels. Additionally, humans are made of the elements of the earth, and we are accountable from generation to generation, to support and prosper one another, rather than to plunder our globe.
I reiterate, when nations support one another, rather than resort to violently rivaling (like Putin chose to force Russia to do against Ukraine in 2014 & 2022,) the global economy improves overall. Furthermore, Freedom and justice for all is achieved by individual accountability.
Additionally, subscribe to United24! It’s a program initiative by the President of Ukraine, created by Philanthropist Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and designed for the benefit of his constituents during a time of extreme distress and hardship, which has taken place on the European continent for far too long.
I couldn’t stand by and just watch all the talk about it anymore. In the USA, humans are encouraged to be all we can be. It was time to speak my piece and take action according to the best of my abilities too. Thank you for listening, and for helping me help others too. I Stand with Ukraine. Shine on Superstars! With love, from the USA!
God Bless Our Globe

"Freedom makes a huge requirement of every human being. With freedom comes responsibility. For the person who is unwilling to grow up, the person who does not want to carry his own weight, this is a frightening prospect." - Eleanor Roosevelt.
Bartering is the most primitive form of trade. For instance, Jacob refused to assist Esau without a trade. Interestingly, a tribe in the world still utilize yams as their currency.
Assyrian King Ashurbanipal
First, it’s important to acknowledge how the Holy Bible is a book of books that came from the East to the West. Second, Jesus genealogy begins with the book of Genesis, and is history of the behaviors and cultures of ancient tribes/peoples in Africa and the Middle East.
This is how Muslims, Jews, and Christians all share the same Old Testaments, hence our modern day Abraham Accords.
Egyptians were condemned twice for partaking in slavery, first in Exodus, and again in Revelation. It’s still the only continent that profits from exporting all forms of ivory.
Egypt was a prostitute, or Mystery Babylon. Slavery still takes place in parts of Africa today. Albino black folks are still hunted for their body parts as well.
King Ashurbanipal Nineveh, Assyria. Photo credit: British Museum
Furthermore, coinage was a practice in the East introduced to the West. Money is made of minerals and plants the same as medicine. Native Americans utilized trade among tribes long before coinage became mainstream.
Biblical References
“Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666.” (Revelation 13:18.)
In other words, the Assyrian King Ashurbanipal reigned from 668 to 627BC. To be clear, 666 in the bible is a number referencing a date, a year to be exact. The mark of the beast is coinage.
“The Assyrian king Ashurbanipal decorated the walls of his palace with realistic carvings of his lion hunts, and such imagery strongly influenced the royal iconography of many ancient empires.” – coinweek
Coin collecting is the king of hobbies and hobby of kings. The Beast of Revelation was a King, a brutal dictator in the Middle East, who was so big-headed that he killed anyone for disagreeing with him.
However, all humans still run and hide from the path of the wrath of nature the same as any other creature, regardless of our own entitlements. Furthermore, it’s by the grace of God we’re empowered to assist one another through any calamities. Joseph for instance, who saved more than just Egypt.
Speech in the Holy Bible
Bible speech interprets both figuratively and literally. This is why it’s difficult for so many to understand it as Middle Eastern history.
For instance, some people perceive the apocalyptic horsemen in Revelation 13 literally, as men on horses, when in fact it may actually be a reference to volcanoes.
Furthermore, all throughout biblical texts it’s evident, in poetic form, that humans don’t get to command nature and make it obey without question. That’s how only God is Supreme.
Entire civilizations were wiped out by natural catastrophic events. This is the reference to the day of the Lord. In modern times USA schools describe extended snow days as “acts of God.” Furthermore, it’s true that God is a spirit with feelings too, hence the first commandment.
Jesus is King of Revelations
Jesus is a legitimate King of Israel and beyond. He’s the one who taught appropriate socially constructive behavior to humans. For instance, he didn’t teach us not to judge at all but to judge with sound judgment. He didn’t reign over people, but was of service to them.
Obviously my opinions and views are my own, and everyone has their own point of view. It’s okay to disagree with me. There are many people in the world who don’t understand the Holy Bible as history of peoples in Africa and the Middle East. However, I think understanding it provides insight for how the East has influenced the West.

Furthermore, African slavery didn’t derive in Native America anymore than coins did. Yet, Native Americans were aware of “one creator” as “The Great Spirit,” long before the scriptures made their way to West.
“They raise their voices, they shout for joy;from the westthey proclaim the majesty of the LORD. Therefore glorify the LORD in the east!” – Isaiah 24:14.
Ashurbanipal was the final Assyrian King or seven headed Beast of Revelation with ten horns. Furthermore, the Pharaoh of Egypt was the dragon. Pharaoh was the dragon of the nile who gave his power to the beast. (Revelation 13:4.) In other words, everyone worshipped his image and empire.
