Mapping the stars is done by their constellations. Learn the constellations and you’ll never get lost in the dark. You can use the direction of the constellations, such as the Dippers, to note the seasons as well.
For instance, in the summer, the Big Dipper’s handle faces up. In the fall, it’s closest to the horizon. In the winter, it starts to move away from the horizon with its handle facing down. Moreover, mapping the stars is a navigational tool. For instance, the Big Dipper is used as a starting point to all other constellations.
Reading the Stars & Constellations
Our Great Creator, “made all the stars—the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades” and other constellations of the sky.” (Job 9:9.) In other words, these creations are also the signs of the times. Furthermore, the North Star is the only star that appears to stay in one place. However, it does move. “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.”- (Psalms 147:4.)
The Signs of the Times
Do you understand the signs of the times? (Matthew 16:3.) For instance, the Celestial Bear, or Great Bear Constellation, is visible on the northern horizon during late fall and early winter evenings.
Additionally, it’s a sign of the hibernation season approaching. Moreover, if you observe the behaviors of animals, many creatures of earth instinctively hibernate and sleep through the winter season.
Ancient & Modern Astronomy
Astronomy is the study of the sky. “Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loosen the belt of Orion?” (Job 38:31.) Moreover, one of the most distinguishing features of the Pleiades stars are their striking blue color, spotted from nearly every point on earth.
Wormwood
Wormwood is a possible reference of a star that fell from the sky. It’s written to have poisoned the land and water, thereby eradicating ancient civilizations. (Revelation 8:11.) Additionally, wormwood is a bitter plant that can cause hallucinations.
Furthermore, astronomy is the study of everything in the universe beyond Earth’s atmosphere. This includes objects we can see with our naked eyes, such as the sun, the moon, the planets, and the stars. These are creations, not gods. God is a Spirit.
Stargazing Stargazers
Additionally, astronomy is a rewarding occupational career choice! If you’re a natural stargazer, and love stargazing, then this is the field of focus for you. Do you know what your calling is? Get a nice telescope, and give astronomy a try. This is a great way to turn a hobby into a career. Mapping the stars is a stellar job!
Furthermore, ancient mortals utilized the Big and Little Dippers to navigate at night. For instance, Greek astronomer Thales used the Little Dipper stars to navigate. Thales was referenced by Aristotle.
Finally, look a little to the right of Vega for a modestly bright trapezoid of four stars. As a result, these outline the head of the Dragon, and where to locate Draco’s brightest star, Eltanin.
Biblical astronomy suggests, that either Leviathan is another name for the dragon constellation. However, several versus imply that Leviathan was a fire breathing deep sea creature with scales, glowing eyes, and razor sharp teeth.
“Furthermore, Draco is circumpolar, meaning that it never sets below the horizon and is always visible in the Northern Hemisphere, but cannot be seen in the Southern Hemisphere.” – space.com.
The Book of Daniel
Remember the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den? Additionally, Daniel was an ancient character known as “chief of magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners.” (Daniel 5:11.)
Moreover, Daniel was the only one out of all of them able to read and comprehend the handwriting on the wall. I presume he knew the names of all the constellations and about star charts as well. (Daniel 2:21)
Has a Shooting Star Ever Fallen on Anyone?
Yes. Humans are hit by fallen stars. Furthermore, the Pharaoh of Egypt was a leader along the Nile River, and called The Great Dragon. Moreover, Egypt has been hit with falling stars. Additionally, did you know that the Magi followed the star that led them to where Jesus was born? They were biblical astronomers.
Moreover, Jesus, known as the Son of God, whom by we who believe in the one who sent him, also told of solar and lunar eclipses, as well as the stars falling from the sky. (Matthew 24:29.)
Furthermore, keep watch, pay attention to the signs of the times, and praise our Almighty Creator, now and forever more for providing us with His wisdom and understanding. Finally, the Big Dipper is a celestial compass, clock, calendar and ruler. Click here to learn how to use it!

How Pontoon Beach got its Name
Pontoon Beach has an interesting history, including how it got its name. Furthermore, “there are two slightly different stories concerning the origin of the name Pontoon Beach. One says that the name was used because a bridge supported by pontoons was built across Long Lake.
The other claims that the name began because steep banks lined most of Long Lake and residents made docks that were floated on pontoons, thus forming a kind of beach.”

Alfred Dunner is a clothing brand providing suitable attire for various occasions, from professional office meetings to service jobs. Furthermore, I’ve read of some claiming Alfred Dunner was only for old ladies. I disagree. Additionally, it’s a business casual style for the young working woman, as much as the nursing mother or retired elder. In other words, it’s also formal corporate wear for females.
Furthermore, I first discovered the Alfred Dunner Brand after shopping in a thrift shop for office work attire. The dress code called for business casual pants as part of my uniform. Moreover, it’s been my plus-size go-to brand ever since!
Comfortable & Appealing Style for Women
Additionally, I’ve worn Alfred Dunner clothing since I was a teenager, when I got my first job. As a plus-size curvy shaped female, the solid black pants were suitable for any time I worked in a fast paced environment requiring swift movements, such as a fast food team member or waitressing. This brand is more than just business professional attire. It’s appropriate work dress clothes.
Alfred Dunner trousers are breathable, and just as well offer comfort when sitting in an office or cubicle. This brand has been around a while, however, it’s no less worthy of the positive reviews.
For instance, the quality material makes the business casual working woman look great while offering her provisions and ease of comfort whether standing, sitting, or moving around. Alfred Dunner is a most comfortable and stylish plus size fashion.

Furthermore, “Alfred Dunner Inc. is a family-owned and operated business driven by entrepreneurial sensibility. “Living by the ‘handshake’ approach as well as word, and never compromising on either. In essence, we care.” – alfreddunner.com
In other words, their deeds match their words. Speaking from two decades of experience as a satisfied plus size business casual attire customer, this brand isn’t just appropriate for elders.
For instance, I’ve been wearing Alfred Dunner clothing since I was a teenager and haven’t stopped. God willing, I’ll keep myself comfortably covered by this reliable brand as I age and become and elder someday myself.

How I Became My Brother's Keeper: A Eulogy & Memorial for Nicholas Andrew (Nick) Kampmann
Am I my brother’s keeper? The answer is yes, and I’ll tell you how. Have you ever felt compelled to write a eulogy for a loved one? “If you feel compelled to do something, you feel that you must do it, because it is the right thing to do.”
I’m a sibling of and became a paid primary caregiver for Nicholas Andrew Kampmann, through the DORS Personal Assistance Program. This is an example article of a eulogy and a memorial. It’s based on the true story of how I became my brother’s keeper.
Bookmark this article if you wish, and perhaps to refer to should you want to write a eulogy for a loved one yourself someday. As my little brother’s big sister, I knew him well. For instance, Nick loved to talk and was quite a storyteller.
Personality & Quirks
Anyone who knew Nick knows he always had something to say and would tell tall tales to keep a conversation going. He was fun to be around, and cared to be an all around funny guy. Indeed, there were many times when he’d said to me, “I’m trying to make you laugh.” He never failed to do that!
I became my brother’s keeper when he most needed a caregiver. It was a few short years after we’d lost our mom. Dad had already passed when we were barely adults. Moreover, I had more good memories of him than bad, so I didn’t mind embracing the role of my brother’s keeper. Furthermore, I learned a lot as his personal assistant and caregiver.
In Memory of Nick Kampmann
Throughout his life, Nicholas was a tree trimmer, a mechanic, and an asphalt repairman. His last job was at Rail Logistics in St. Louis, Missouri. His favorite activities were fishing, BBQ, telling campfire stories, watching movies, and paintball guns. Nick was a talented cook when it came to grilling. The grill was his happy place.
Occupations and Activities
Nick loved to socialize and be around people, to whom he’d tell jokes and never ending stories. My son once told me that he noticed how his Uncle Nick would do all he could to make people laugh, even though he was always dealing with his own painful ailments. I too witnessed it and most certainly agreed with him.
Stay Calm and Keep On Keeping On
Nick was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of vasculitis and endured kidney failure in the year of 2014. After that, his lifestyle changed drastically. That’s when I found myself stepping up to the plate, so to speak, as my brother’s keeper.
Furthermore, he kept on keeping on through the years, whilst remaining calm, and being good company to others. It wasn’t always easy for him, but it was worth it to him.
Funny Guy and a Kid at Heart
When not working or socializing with others, Nick loved to eat pizza, watch the travel channel, and play games on his phone and computer. His favorite games to play were Doom, Command and Conquer, and Idle Miner Tycoon Simulator.
Relations and Relationships
Nicholas was preceded in death by our parents, grandparents, numerous other relatives, and many of his peers. Furthermore, Nick did not marry, and had no children. However, he did want to become a dad and loved kids. My own children were fond of him. He’s survived by many aunts and uncles, several cousins, his two siblings, a niece and nephew, and his friends.
Celebration of Life
Nick’s friends and loved ones are planning for a gathering at a nearby lake, fishing and barbecuing together, in celebration of his life. The event is to take place sometime in the Spring of 2023. Stay tuned for instructions should you like to attend.
Memorials can be made immediately to the family via Thomas Saksa Funeral Home in Granite City, Illinois. I’m extremely thankful for their careful handling of my brother’s remains. Thomas Saksa Funeral Home has delicately assisted with many of my relatives throughout the years.
A Genuinely Tough Guy with a Gentle Soul: Regarding Nick's Wishes
Nick lost the battle against a triple infection during the hard-fought war against an aggressive form of vasculitis on January 15th, 2023 at 11:41 am. He had just turned 40 years old the day before. Nick’s wishes were to first have his remains cremated. Then, he wanted his ashes to be shared with family and friends.
Creating a Crowdfunding Page for Financial Assistance
Furthermore, Nicholas didn’t have a life insurance policy, and the state can only assist with so much. Many people are enduring hard times right now. Therefore, I’ve created a gofundme page asking for financial assistance in hopes of being enabled to cover the exact costs of his cremation, as needed upfront, via crowdfunding. Anything helps.
Mentioning My Brother's Keepers
Furthermore, this link is the original documentation via photos from the beginning of Nick’s battle against Vasculitis. He received an accurate diagnosis in 2014, with the help of Doctor Seth Goldberg (pictured below with Nick.) Moreover, the staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital helped save his life many times!
As a volunteer participant of The Pexivas Research Study, directed by Dr. Li Tingting, Nick became a regular visitor, and made fast friends with everyone at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Center for Advanced Medicine, and The Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
After spending many years walking the halls of these places with him, I can’t express my gratitude enough, for the positive impact made by all the staff, including his nurses and doctors.
Furthermore, I appreciate all the people we crossed paths with along the way who also taught us something, including the staff and friends Nick made at Davita Dialysis. The aid provided helped him continue to fight to live his life to the best of his abilities, for as long as possible. Thanks to all who helped us help Nick!
Our Brother in Christ
Truth be told, Nick might not have lived to turn forty without the help of all the peoples at these places. Thank you neighbors! As his siblings, we originally agreed to donate his remains to medical science upon his expiration.
We thought it would be honorable of him to assist future generations of humans with finding solutions for ailments such as he endured. Unfortunately, due to multiple infections we weren’t able to make those arrangements.
This is why a gofundme.com page was created, to assist with ensuring the granting of his final wishes. Thanks for all your contributions!
Furthermore, Nicholas Andrew Kampmann became a believer also, and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Personal Savior. He didn’t mind me discussing lessons learned from Jesus with him either.
Even as he dealt with pain and long-suffering, and didn’t want to die, our father in heaven ensured his transition was peaceful, painless, and swift in the event of his death. I held his hand for the final time, whilst we were surrounded by of our friends and relatives, in person and online. Thank you for being here for us!
I feel so much gratitude towards all of you who became my brother’s keeper along with me, and for sharing in the life and times of Nicholas Andrew Kampmann. Thanks again all my brother’s keepers, for listening, and for all your contributions!
Beautiful Bright Red Hair, Blue Eyes, and a Golden Heart
Amber Ellis Keasling had just asked me to be her maid of honor on Thanksgiving Day. Though they hadn’t yet set a wedding date, I was ecstatic about their engagement. Beautiful bright red hair, blue eyes, and a golden heart, is how I can best think to describe this girl who became the love of my older brother’s life, and a lifelong friend of mine. Little did we know that it would be the last major holiday she would be gracing us with her presence.
How We Met
We first met Amber through our aunt as teenagers, in the small town of Sorento, Illinois. Amber was from Worden, Illinois. Moreover, we were all close in age. At that time, Aunt Barb had lived in a small house on a dead end street with the love of her life, her three pet goats, and a garden that took up more than half her yard.
Aunt Barb had insisted we would be good company for each other at the time, as we had all stayed and helped her with her garden. She was right, because we became fast friends and happily joked with each other while plucking corn and picking green beans.
Always Outdoors
Amber was a brave soul, and got me to do things I would have never done on my own. For instance, I ran with her through a cow pasture, at risk of being gored by a bull. Fortunately nothing bad happened. However, the rush of adrenaline and my heart racing a mile a minute during and after running beside her through that field is still unforgettable.
Stand By Me Trestle Bridge
Amber loved to be outdoors, and I would walk with her on railroad tracks for long distances. I even crossed a trestle bridge, regardless of my fear of heights. It was much like the one in the scene from the movie Stand By Me, though not as long. She was the kind of friend that helped others face and overcome their fears. I recall a train coming only one time while we played in the creek underneath the trestle.
Dealing with Sudden & Unexpected Loss
We suddenly and unexpectedly lost Amber from a brain bleed on December 11th 2022 at 11:05pm. Amber had her own issues to deal with, as we all do. However, the good outweighed the bad when it came to this special person, and my siblings and I all knew it. Furthermore, people grieve in their own ways and Amber was our extended family.
Sharing Fondest Memories
I made a big dinner for Thanksgiving of 2022, as our youngest brother was given a poor prognosis regarding his health last Christmas. In other words, I wanted to make the holidays special for him this year. As it turns out, it was she who made Thanksgiving of 2022 so special for all of us. She was special to many!
Finally, Amber worked in the medical field and was an organ donor. Therefore, we have comfort in knowing that even though she left us so suddenly and unexpectedly, she saved another life with her own by donating her kidneys.
We Will Miss You Amber!

I Guess Heaven Was Needing A Hero by Jo Dee Messina
Adidas style is a fashion brand I’ve enjoyed as a style since my youth. For instance, I wore a plus size jacket just like the one in the image below all throughout my twenties. Moreover, vintage Adidas fashion clothing and shoes are highly collectible stylish items. Did you know that Adidas caters to plus sized people? I’m thankful!
Furthermore, some rare vintage Adidas items are collectible and worth a lot of money! Additionally, I’m happy to review and note my continued satisfaction with the quality of Adidas brand merchandise. I still shop the plus size rack!
I didn’t grow up getting to wear all that I wanted to. However, I’m not complaining about it. Moreover, I was fortunate to find the Adidas plus sizes on the racks in local thrift stores, and still do every now and then. There’s no shame in being a thrifty shopper!
Furthermore, from rare collectible vintage Adidas shoes, to windbreakers, and vintage 90’s puffer style Adidas jackets, I became partial to this fashion brand after many long lasting personal experiences of wearing vintage Adidas puffer jackets to keep me warm through many winters.
For instance, thrift store outlets rarely failed me when I wanted high quality clothes on an extremely low budget. Furthermore, Adidas has a vast amount of new clothing, shoes, and accessories. I have a preference towards 90’s Vintage.
Furthermore, the quality of the Adidas can’t be beat either. I admire Adidas fashion & style and remember the thick winter coats as the most popular style in school. They were not only stylish, but also broke the wind and stored body heat.
Vintage Adidas Collectibles
Additionally, I found a vintage Adidas windbreaker jacket for twenty dollars at a thrift store in 2010. Moreover, that jacket endured wear without tearing for at least a dozen years. Black, white, and blue never goes out of style.
